This painting went through several changes before I was happy with it. The only thing that didn't change were the horses. They were originally set against a pond with cattails. However, it was so confusing that the story of the horses on a spring day was lost in all the busyness. I used palette knifes to simplify the background with aspens thus allowing the horses stand out. Available from Legend Art, Cooke City, MT
